Billie Starkz comments on working with Athena.
Since ROH Final Battle 2022, Athena has run the ROH women's division, calling herself the forever champion of the division. In her year-plus run on top, she's working alongside Billie Starkz, who has become one of her minions in training.
Starkz was highly touted on the Independent scene when she joined ROH, but working with Athena has allowed her to show more personality in promos and vignettes.
Speaking to Jeremy Lambert & Joel Pearl on In The Weeds, Starkz discussed working with Athena in the non-wrestling aspect of television.
"I genuinely feel like Athena is one of the smartest women in the business. People do not give her enough credit for what she does. Genuinely, from me starting in ROH to now, she's been nothing but a help to me. I think she genuinely has such overwhelming knowledge of how TV is supposed to work, how to position yourself, how to just be more than what is the basic line. It's helping a lot," she said.
Starkz challenged Athena for the ROH Women's Title at ROH Final Battle 2023, but the student could not top the master.
