Risk led to reward for John Hennigan in the film industry, like it often does over the course of his pro wrestling matches.
Hennigan, also known as Johnny Impact, Johnny Mundo, Johnny Nitro, and John Morrison within wrestling circles, once said that he sold his home in order to finance a film. The movie, "Boone the Bounty Hunter," also features former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and has debuted on Netflix. When I asked him if that investment paid off, he told me that it was looking promising.
"What I've learned about movies, when they're successful they take a little more time to pay off than you'd like. The trajectory of Boone is that it's going to more than make it's money back, it's going to make a ton of money, which is really nice. So far we've been paid back almost the exact amount we've put in. I'm expecting for the next year, two, three for the money to keep rolling in so I can make Boone 2," said Impact.
Hennigan has also appeared on several other films and television shows, including Shameless, GLOW, and an upcoming season of Survivor: David vs. Goliath.
