Jordynne Grace reveals that Mick Foley contacted her after she lost a small portion of her ear on TNA iMPACT!
Jordynne Grace lost a portion of her ear when it was ripped, earring and all, by Marti Belle's fishnets during their match on the May 23 episode of TNA iMPACT!
Following this, Grace jokingly put the stockings containing the ripped portion of her ear up on eBay. When people took the listing seriously, she revealed on Twitter that she would keep the listing up and had plans to donate profits generated to Deaflypmics and the USA Deaf Sports Federation. Unfortunately, eBay ultimately took down the listing.
Speaking about the incident during a recent interview with Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp, Grace revealed that she actually received a message from Mick Foley after the incident. Foley famously lost his ear during a match against Vader in Germany back in 1994.
"Don’t exaggerate. It wasn’t almost losing an ear," she began. "I’ll give you a headline. Mick Foley texted me out of nowhere. I didn’t have his number. He was like, ‘Oh, it’s Mick Foley. Welcome to the club. If you need any advice about ear injuries, I’m all yours.’ I was like, ‘How did Mick Foley get my phone number?’"
As for eBay taking down the listing, Grace says she feels like she should have been allowed to keep the listing up because it's not like she was selling an actual ear, just a piece of cartilage.
"eBay took it down. They said that I can’t sell human parts. I don’t think it’s fair; it was just a little piece of cartilage. It wasn’t like a whole human part. I’ll figure it out eventually. I’m afraid the ear will turn a color."
Grace is now facing the biggest challenge for her career yet as she heads to WWE NXT Battleground as the TNA Knockouts World Champion to not only represent TNA Wrestling but also try and win the NXT Women's Championship from Roxanne Perez.
