Jordynne Grace discusses the process of taking part in a match for WWE NXT.
Jordynne Grace, the TNA Knockouts World Champion, made history when she took on Roxanne Perez for the WWE NXT Women's Championship at WWE NXT Battleground. Along the way, she also competed in her first WWE NXT match, defeating Stevie Turner.
During a recent interview with Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp after the match took place, Jordynne Grace discussed the process of putting together a match in NXT.
When asked if there were any restrictions, Grace responded, "Yeah, can’t do piledrivers. Only certain people."
When discussing filming a match in the WWE environment, even the developmental territory of NXT, Grace noted that there was much more to remember than they're normally would be for her and discussed the many different camera shots to keep in mind.
It’s a lot. I don’t want to get too deep into it, but it’s a lot to remember," she said. "There are so many different cameras and they want you to do certain things to certain cameras. There are all the cameras and then two cameras in front of you, but you have to look at a specific one. Sometimes, I’m just like, ‘I can’t remember which one it is.’ That is something I have to get used to. There are certain corners they want you to go into because there is the gib cam that goes around. It’s a lot to remember on top of what you also have to remember."
While she did not come away from Battleground with the WWE NXT Women's Championship, she does believe she's done well enough that the working relationship between WWE and TNA Wrestling will continue. Read her comments on that matter at this link.
