The first AEW Women's World Champion will be crowned on October 2nd.
All Elite Wrestling has announced Cody Rhodes versus Sammy Guevara, and The Elite (Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks) versus Chris Jericho and two mystery opponents for their weekly television series debut on TNT on October 2nd from the Capitol One Arena in Washington, D.C.. Adding on to that lineup is the crowning of the first-ever AEW Women's World Champion.

AEW Chief Brand Officer Brandi Rhodes chatted with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated about the Women's Title announcement and had the following to say about the crowning of the company's first Women's Champion:
“For many female wrestlers, the opportunity to fight for the title represents the crowning achievement of their careers,” said Rhodes. “The AEW Women’s Championship will be the cornerstone of the women’s division. The championship will be treated with the utmost respect and prestige,” said Rhodes. “We hope to inspire future female wrestlers to dream of holding such a meaningful title.”
Brandi Rhodes confirmed that more details regarding the championship will be revealed on the next 'Road To All Out' episode which will be released on August 7th.
