Flip Gordon isn't going to NXT anytime soon, as he has other goals in mind.
Speaking to Chris Van Vilet in a video that you can watch above, the Ring of Honor star opened up about a number of subjects. When his tweet saying "NeXT year will be even better" got a lot of buzz, of course speculation ran rampant about where he could go next. Gordon, however, says it was just retaliation for people who were congratulating him for no reason.
"Just trolling," he said. "I saw a tweet going around telling people to congratulate me on stuff, so I saw that they were trying to troll me, so I just saw the perfect opportunity to troll everybody else so I took it."
When asked about potentially being a part of the Bullet Club, he gave a blunt answer. Anyone watching the Being the Elite YouTube show could know immediately Gordon's status with the group.
“I dunno, I tried," he lamented. "Kenny and Cody didn’t want me in there. So if The Bucks can convince them then sure.” When asked who would make the decision, he said it would be Kenny's.
As for his goals in 2018, Gordon makes it clear he'd love to be a part one of the hottest promotions around right now, and maybe even compete in their annual tournament.
"The sky's the limit. I’d love to go to New Japan," he revealed. "I’d love to be in Best of Super Juniors, that’s definitely a goal of mine. It’s something I set, that I wanted to go to Japan before my three year mark in the business. So it’s still possible."
When asked if competing at WrestleMania was his next goal, Gordon said family comes first. "Whatever's best for me and my family, we're going to do it."
Ring of Honor's next big PPV is their sixteenth anniversary show on March 9.
