Speaking to Jim Varsallone of the Miami Herald, Gunther weighed in on his opponent.

"I think Randy's career is undeniable. On the other hand, we have to be honest here. He was destined to be the greatest of all time. All the bad decisions he made in his career and the issues he had, he still is one of the greatest, but he wasted a lot of potential. I'm not in the business of wasting potential. I think I overexceeded in a lot of ways and Randy is the opposite. Even though he achieved a lot, I still think he underachieved for the talent that he has," said Gunther.

Orton is a fourteen-time WWE Champion and recently signed a new five-year deal with the company.
