Hiroko Suzuki reflects on working with John Cena in 2004.
While John Cena is now known for being the face of WWE for over a decade and for legendary matches against equally legendary opponents such as Randy Orton, Triple H, Edge, Batista, The Rock, Shawn Michaels, and others, his first singles championship reign came in 2004 when he defeated the Big Show at WWE WrestleMania to capture the WWE United States Championship. The individuals he defended the United States Championship against in that first run are not as heralded as the aforementioned names.
John Cena's first WWE United States Championship reign saw him facing people such as Rene Dupree and Kenzo Suzuki. Suzuki was accompanied by his wife, Hiroko, during his run in WWE. Now, Hiroku is reflecting on her time in WWE and has fond memories of John Cena behind the scenes.
During a recent interview with DS Shin of Ring The Belle, Hiroko stated that Cena was always very polite to her.
"I don’t remember much because it was a long time ago. John is very nice. So nice. He kept getting more popular. He is very polite. He was always thinking about wrestling backstage. He always talked so slowly to me. He was so nice."
Hiroko Suzuki also stated in the interview that she would like to potentially participate in a WWE Royal Rumble. Read her comments here.
