Hiroshi Tanahashi is set to wrap up his career.
Hiroshi Tanahashi announced that 2025 will be his last year as a full-time wrestler. He will have his retirement match at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 20 on January 4, 2026.
Tanahashi made the announcement at NJPW King of Pro-Wrestling.

Tanahashi is the current President of NJPW.
He began his career in 1999 and is one of the most decorated NJPW wrestlers ever as an eight-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion, a two-time IWGP Intercontinental Champion, a three-time IWGP Tag Team Champion, and many more accolades.
