Christian Cage abused his authority on the August 10 AEW Saturday Collision, and the status of the AEW World Trios Championship match at AEW All In is still in doubt.
The main event of the August 10 AEW Saturday Collision saw House Of Black (Brody King, Buddy Matthews & Malakai Black) and Bang Bang Gang (Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn & Juice Robinson) fight to a draw as Christian Cage, the appointed referee for the match, tried to ensure that he would not have to defend his AEW World Trios Titles alongside Nick Wayne and Killswitch in Wembley Stadium.
Cage mostly called the match down the middle until the end, when all six men were down. Buddy Matthews was about to reach his feet when Cage hit him with a spear to ensure he could finish his hastened double knockout ten count, ending the match in a draw and hopefully preserving his championship belts a little longer.
Was this all part of the plan for The Patriarchy?!

The show would end with all members of The Patriarchy assaulting both teams, and the forthcoming Wembley Stadium pay-per-view would not have an official AEW World Trios Championship match announced by the show's end as fans thought it would.
