Ilja Dragunov will aim to finish his feud with JD McDonagh once and for all on the March 21 episode of NXT.
The former NXT UK stars have been engaged in a heated rivalry for months, and they have history that dates back to WWE's overseas brand. Both men have put their enemy on the shelf with injuries at different points, and now that they're both ready to compete, they will clash in a singles match.
On the March 14 episode of NXT, Dragunov stated that McDonagh has hindered his success throughout his journey, and in order to continue his ascension, he needed to rid himself of McDonagh once and for all. McDonagh replied by stating that he felt like they were destined to keep figthting for a long time. Dragunov insisted and stated that he wanted to settle the score on the March 21 episode.
McDonagh agreed to the match and looked forward to what he called a symphony of suffering. The two men then brawled until they were in the backstage area. They kept fighting throughout the show, and they were later pulled apart.
