A two time Knockouts Champion is back with Impact Wrestling.
Last week there were reports that Winter (also known as Katie Lea) would be returning to Impact Wrestling soon. Last night during the taping of the upcoming weeks of Impact Wrestling television, Winter was backstage and Impact Wrestling tweeted the following confirming Winter would be back soon.
The former Knockouts Champion also wrestled in WWE until 2010 and then went to Impact Wrestling over the next two years. She has been wrestling sporadically in independent promotions and had one match in Impact Wrestling in 2015.
During her run with Impact Wrestling, Winter feuded with current WWE wrestler Mickie James which included a few championship matches. She also won the Knockouts Tag Team Championship with Angelina Love.
The original report said Winter was being advertised for a set of Impact Wrestling tapings in June. While she was backstage at this week's tapings, she did not appear in any of the matches for which Fightful has the spoilers.
