Indi Hartwell Believes In The 'Slow And Steady' Approach To Storytelling

Indi Hartwell has had an up and down NXT career as she found her footing alongside Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae in The Way before being left on her own as Johnny and Candice departed NXT in 2021.

Indi has re-established herself in NXT and won the NXT Women's Championship at NXT Stand & Deliver in a ladder match, and she was greeted by Johnny, Candice, and her "husband" Dexter Lumis after she won.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Indi was asked if she preferred the slow and steady build as opposed to the instant gratification.

"I believe in slow and steady because that's what I've been through. I thought to myself, if I get it all at once, where do I go from there? I'm still pretty young in this business. I've been wrestling for seven years, but that's nothing compared to some people. I'm all about the slow and steady. I know it's a marathon and not a sprint. A lot of my coaches tell me that. I just try to keep that in mind," she said.

When asked if she could see herself on Raw or SmackDown, Hartwell replied, "Definitely. NXT Champions have appeared on Raw and SmackDown in the past, so I'm looking forward to doing that too."

Hartwell still has business to handle in NXT as she was attacked by a returning Cora Jade on the April 4 episode of NXT.

Fightful will have live coverage of NXT beginning at 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday.
