Je'Von Evans Beats Ashante 'Thee' Adonis, Advances In Number One Contender's Tournament On 8/7 WWE Speed

On the August 7th episode of WWE Speed, Je’Von Evans and Ashante “Thee” Adonis battled it out in a fast-paced match in the Number One Contender's Tournament. Evans gained the upper hand with a dropkick, but Adonis caught him with a dropkick in midair. Adonis dove onto Evans at ringside. Evans rallied with an acrobatic kick, and he dove over the ropes onto Evans. Adonis powerbombed Evans for a two-count. Evans then caught Adonis with a cutter for the win.

With the win, Evans advanced to the next round, where he will face either Austin Theory or Montez Ford. Theory will face Ford on the August 14th episode of WWE Speed.

On the other side of the bracket, Pete Dunne will face Joaquin Wilde in the quarterfinals. Dunne beat Julius Creed to advance, while Wilde defeated Axiom. The winner of the tournament will earn a shot at WWE Speed Champion Andrade.
