Jeff Hardy Says He Still Feels 'Guilt And Shame' From AEW Giving Him An Opportunity And Breaking Trust

Jeff Hardy looks back on AEW run.

Jeff Hardy joined his brother Matt Hardy in AEW in March 2022, reuniting the brothers for the first time since April 2019. The Hardy Boys were planned to win the AEW Tag Team Championships in the summer of 2022, but Jeff was arrested for a DUI on June 14, 2022, leading to him entering rehab and being suspended by the promotion.

When Jeff returned in April 2023, he and Matt were sporadically used on AEW TV before each man departed the company in 2024.

Matt joined TNA Wrestling in April, while Jeff returned to join his brother in June.

Appearing on Busted Open Radio, Jeff was asked for his goals in TNA.

"Definitely to win the TNA Tag Team Titles. I still have so much guilt and shame from AEW giving me an opportunity, and even Matt, to me breaking trust with my personal issues and real life. I want to make that up to Matt. I will say right here that I will not break TNA's trust. That is in my past. It feels good to have somewhat of a clean slate with that stuff and start fresh instead of having that guilt and shame about what I did in a certain world of pro wrestling," he said.

Jeff was put out of action by The System on the July 18th episode of TNA iMPACT!

Fightful will have coverage of TNA iMPACT! beginning at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday.
