Jerry Lawler: My Career With WWE Has Probably Ended

Jerry Lawler comments on his time with WWE ending.

On Monday, PWInsider reported that WWE was not renewing the broadcasting contract of Jerry Lawler. Lawler started his announcing career with WWE in 1992 and was the lead color commentator on Monday Night Raw alongside Jim Ross during the Monday Night Wars.

Speaking to PWInsider, Lawler commented on WWE's decision.

"One other thing that a lot of people wonder about, my career has probably ended with the WWE and that's it's just one of those things that goes with my getting over with all the stuff that happened with the stroke and it was my, my just sitting behind a desk and doing it commentating on a match again was the extremely difficult," he said.

Lawler hasn't been part of the broadcast team since 2020.
