Austin Aries might be gone from IMPACT Wrestling, but he's remained active on social media. Aries' Twitter account is filled with retweets of comments made by fans voicing their displeasure over Aries' walkout at Bound For Glory.
While not a retweet, Aries posted a caption and a comment made by Jim Cornette, who called out Aries for his poor attitude.
“Don’t knock Austin Aries’ talent, he’s a good performer. The only reason he fails everywhere is because he’s a miserable little whiner who thinks he should be pushed to the moon and knows more than everyone else. Wrestling and promos, he’s fine. Probably needs a cheeseburger.”
When Cornette was alerted to the post, he couldn't help but respond.
The paths of Cornette and Aries have crossed multiple times over the years. They worked together in TNA in 2006 and then in 2009 in ROH. Aries has long cited his issues with Cornette as the reason why he left ROH in 2010.
Aries has been active with retweets on social media, but his next move in wrestling is unknown. His contract with IMPACT Wrestling expired following Bound For Glory and he made waves upon leaving, flipping off Vice President Don Callis and the crowd. There were reports that Aries and IMPACT are working a loose cannon angle, but Aries has yet to appear elsewhere thus far.
