Jim Ross explains how getting talent over is how AEW take it to the next level.
All Elite Wrestling have been riding a streak of momentum since AEW Revolution, with Kazuchika Okada, Will Ospreay and Mercedes Mone all coming into the promotion and making statements upon their arrival.
While speaking on a recent episode of Grilling JR, Jim Ross was asked how AEW reaches the next level, with the announcer noting that AEW will do it by getting more talent over.
"You get more talent over. You give more talents like Okada {Kazuchika Okada] and Ospreay [Will Ospreay] the opportunity to get exposed on your television and consequently get over. Getting talent over is always going to be the key. I think they’re doing a good job with that. Anxious to see where the journey with Okada goes. He’s spectacular. He’s extraordinary. One of my favorite wrestlers of all time. I’m glad we got him. I think they’re doing a good job in that area, getting new talent over. That’s the key to the scenario."
Ross was in the booth for the main event of AEW Revolution, where AEW would say goodbye to the legendary career of 'The Icon' Sting.
Will Ospreay is currently scheduled to face off with Bryan Danielson at AEW Dynasty next month, while Kazuchika Okada will challenge Eddie Kingston for the Continental Championship on the March 20th edition of AEW Dynamite.
