Few wrestlers have take full advantage of WrestleMania weekend like Joey Janela.
In 2017, Janela held his first ever Joey Janela's Spring Break event on the Friday night before WrestleMania. The show delivered a mix of nostalgia, comedy, and entertainment like few shows before it. Between Marty Janetty returning to the ring, an appearance by Virgil, and the Clusterfuck Battle Royal; all anyone was talking about was Joey Janela's Spring Break.
Janela returned this year with the second annual Spring Break event, which was highlighted by PCO against WALTER, the return of the Great Sasuke, and Nick Gage fighting Pentagon Jr.
Though Janela is sidelined after tearing up his knee in September, his Spring Break event will return in 2019. Thus far, only Japanese legend Atsushi Onita has been announced for the event.
With only one announced wrestler and no assurances Janela himself will be able to compete, fans still rushed to buy tickets when they went on sale today. Just over an hour after tickets were released to the public, Game Changer Wrestling announced that tickets had been sold out.
Joey Janela's Spring Break 3 is scheduled for April 5, 2019 in New Jersey. More names and matches will be announced in the coming months. But, like always with Janela's Spring Break, you never know who is going to show up.
