Fans of Joey Mercury and John Morrison rejoice! MNM is back!
Now that Joey Mercury has returned to wrestle on the indies, it was only a matter of time before he would reunite with Morrison to recreate one of the best-looking tag teams in wrestling. Mercury and Morrison tweeted that they are back as a tag team, starting on September 22, when the two face Reno Scum.
The duo, without their manager Melina, are now calling themselves M&M (Mercury and Morrison).
After not wrestling on the independent scene for several years, Mercury announced his return as a wrestler on the August 12 House of Hardcore show in Philadelphia. Tommy Dreamer, who runs the promotion, introduced Mercury back to wrestling on the show and Mercury responded by busting Dreamer open.
In the last few years, Mercury worked with WWE as a producer and, alongside Jamie Noble, one-half of "J&J Security," Seth Rollins' personal security team. Morrison has found success in the ring within the past few years, being one of the marquee stars for Lucha Underground as Johnny Mundo and has recently made his GFW Impact debut as Johnny Impact.
As a tag team, Morrison, as Johnny Nitro, and Mercury captured the WWE Tag Team Championship on three separate occasions.
