John Bradshaw Layfield Returns To SmackDown, Does Commentary For WWE Tribute To The Troops On 12/8

WWE SmackDown's special Tribute to the Troops episode has a very special guest doing color commentary.

John Bradshaw Layfield, once the longest-running champion in SmackDown history, and the man who had the idea for Tribute to the Troops, is sitting in on commentary during the December 8 episode of WWE SmackDown. He is calling the action with Kevin Patrick and Michael Cole.

Cole put Bradshaw over as the man who had the idea for the event back in 2003 and says that he and Bradshaw have never missed a single iteration of the annual holiday tradition.

Bradshaw used to be the regular color commentator on WWE SmackDown following his retirement in 2006. He was the top heel on the show from 2004 until his retirement 2006. Bradshaw held the WWE Championship when the title was exclusive to SmackDown from WWE Judgment Day 2004 until he was defeated by John Cena at WrestleMania 21 in 2005.

Now, for one night only, Bradshaw is again being a part of SmackDown history, including the return of CM Punk.
