John Cena On Vince McMahon: I Would Rather Talk About What's Ahead Of Us, WWE Is In Good Hands With TKO Folks

John Cena is focused on the road ahead.

John Cena announced his retirement from WWE at WWE Money in the Bank and revealed that he will go on a farewell tour in 2025. This last run will come in the new era of WWE, whereas the vast majority of Cena's WWE career came under Vince McMahon's leadership. McMahon resigned from WWE and TKO in January 2024 after Janel Grant filed a lawsuit against McMahon, John Laurinaitis, and WWE. In the lawsuit, McMahon is accused of sex trafficking, emotional abuse, and sexual assault. McMahon denied the allegations, but he is under federal investigation.

At the WWE Money in the Bank post-show, John Pollock of POST Wrestling asked John Cena about what Vince McMahon has meant to his career and how he has processed what has come out about Vince McMahon.

"Surely an uncomfortable question, and man, I really would much rather talk about what’s ahead of us, and that’s really important. I’ve been pretty honest with my opinion to answer that question, and if you didn’t see it, I know you can dig it up somewhere. I think we’re on the precipice of something pretty special, and as the business evolves and continues to evolve, damn, it’s in pretty good hands with the TKO folks. So I am happy to be where I’m at. Again, I think if you want that information, you dig hard enough, you can find it. Thank you, though. Appreciate the courage," Cena said.

Cena previously commented on the allegations against Vince McMahon and said that he was going to love the person that he loved.

In April 2024, NBC News reported that Vince McMahon was still in touch with John Cena and The Rock. More information is available here.
