The January 10th episode of SmackDown kicked off with the return of John Morrison on Miz TV. However, the return of Morrison quickly turned into a tongue lashing for the WWE Universe by the returning former Intercontinental Champion.
The Miz started off the segment by acknowledging what happened last week and saying that he wasn't having a change of heart but he was just caught off guard by Kofi Kingston and his positivity on a bad fans Miz would then shift his attention to John Morrison and welcome him back with a video package that would highlight his career for new fans.
John Morrison would then say that he had planned on returning with new entrance music and a WWE Chronicle documentary but that changed when he saw what The Miz is going through last week.
Morrison would then say that he is disappointed in the audience and that the audience does not appreciate the Miz and they couldn't begin to understand what it's like to compete in the ring. Morrison would even call one of the fans a turd cutter before being cut off by The New Day.
Both teams would go back and forth trading barbs with Kofi saying that he doesn't believe that The Miz really meant what he said leading to a match between Kofi Kingston and The Miz.
During this match, Morrison and Big E would be on commentary for a portion of it and more assembly continue to hammer home flashes of a heel persona. Ultimately, both men would end up getting involved in the match with Morrison cutting off Big E in order to help The Miz get the win.
