When Gargano was 17 and on the card, Buff Bagwell was also part of the event.

"That's the famous time where my dad asked Buff Bagwell if my son was going to make it. Buff Bagwell said 'no.' He said, 'What do you think, Buff, you think my son has got it?' Buff was like, 'No. He doesn't.' He's since apologized. Well, his Twitter account apologized. Not sure if he actually did it, but the person that ran his Twitter did," Gargano recalled on Iron-On With Gregory Iron.

Gargano proved Buff wrong.

Gargano is one-half of the WWE Tag Team Champions alongside Tommaso Ciampa. They will defend their titles against The Bloodline (Jacob Fatu & Tama Tonga) on WWE SmackDown.
