The chapter of Aries is over.
Over the past week the rivalry between IMPACT World Champion Austin Aries and Johnny Impact went to the next level. The two traded barbs online and in interviews and that began when Austin Aries sent out a controversial tweet and made a few remarks about Johnny's wife Taya Valkyrie. All the trash talk and tension was brought inside the 'Melrose Ballroom' tonight at IMPACT's Bound For Glory PPV and in the main event of the show Johnny Impact and Austin Aries clashed for more than just the World Title.
It was reiterated by Don Callis and Josh Matthews who were on the call that Aries and Johnny Impact were going to war. At one point during the match Taya Valkyrie took a suicide dive from Austin Aries which was intentional on Aries' part. That fired Johnny Impact up and he soon gained control of the sly Aries and set Aries up for a brainbuster and capped the night of with his signature "Starship Pain" finishing maneuver to defeat Austin Aries and capture the IMPACT World Championship.
Immediately after the match was over Aries got up off the mat and flipped Don Callis and Josh Matthews off and walked away from the ring in the middle of Johnny Impact's celebration.
