Throughout the match, Gresham appeared to be struggling with a cough, and towards the end of the match, he spewed ink onto his hand, getting it on KUSHIDA. Finally, he would lock in an Octopus Stretch and utilize the ink on his hand in order to drive KUSHIDA to the mat with a claw hold for the pinfall victory.

After the match, KUSHIDA appeared to be nauseated by the ink and had to be helped to the backstage area.

In the weeks leading up to the show, Gresham was featured in vignettes where he was in therapy and he was talking about man's reliance on wearing masks to get through life.
