Josh Alexander was hopeful about a possible NXT appearance.
2024 has been a huge year for wrestling partnerships, especially for the working relationship between TNA and NXT. As a result of the partnership, major TNA stars like Jordynne Grace, Zachary Wentz, Trey Miguel, Joe Hendry have all appeared in NXT. On the other side of things, NXT stars like Charlie Dempsey, Dante Chen, Riley Osborne, and Wes Lee have all appeared in NXT.
Back in August, Fightful Select reported that Josh Alexander was a name that was discussed for a possible appearance in NXT. As of publish time, that scenario has not came to fruition.
While chatting with Chris Van Vliet for a new interview, Alexander talked about the report and said that it was unfortunate that things didn't play out that way.
"I heard rumblings the NXT thing was going to happen on a couple of occasions. There was stuff that was legitimately talked of and for whatever reason it didn’t transpire. That’s unfortunate, but you never say never in wrestling."
Elsewhere in the interview, Alexander confirmed a Fightful report and stated that he will become a free agent in February 2025. Learn more by clicking here.
