Charlie Dempsey faces an impromptu opponent.
At Josh Barnett's Bloodsport XII, NXT Heritage Cup Champion Charlie Dempsey was scheduled to face AKIRA, but AKIRA was pulled from the show due to injury. Dempsey then faced Tracy Williams instead.
Charlie Dempsey and Tracy Williams felt each other out early on and battled for positioning. They traded takedowns. Williams went for a triangle choke, but Dempsey transitioned into an arm bar. Williams went for a Stretch Muffler and switched to a toe-hold. He maintained the advantage. Dempsey powered his way out with a gutwrench suplex. Williams rocked Dempsey with a shot to the face. They traded blows.
Williams spiked Dempsey with a piledriver. Dempsey got back to his feet and suplexed Williams. Dempsey locked in a leg-bar. He dropped Williams with a German suplex, but Williams responded with a suplex. Dempsey nailed Williams with a stiff strike. Williams took Dempsey down to the mat and locked in an STF. Dempsey transitioned into a Fujiwara armbar, and Williams tapped out.

Dempsey previously defeated Matt Makowski at Bloodsport X, and he lost to Royce Isaacs at Bloodsport XI.
NXT's Myles Borne and Karmen Petrovic also competed at Josh Barnett's Bloodsport XII.
