Cassidy, Briscoe, and Takeshita won qualifying matches on the September 6th episode of AEW Collision to earn their spots in the match. Cassidy beta Bryan Keith, Takeshita defeated The Beast Mortos, and Briscoe scored the win against Lance Archer.

In the title match, Cassidy and Briscoe put their alliance in The Conglomeration to good use as they worked together at points, but they also came to blows. Takeshita and Okada teased battling it out a few times before they eventually clashed.

All three challengers nearly ad the win at different points, as Briscoe hit Takeshita with a Jay Driller while Cassidy hit the Beach Break.

The match broke down in chaos, as all four competitors kept battling. Okada took Briscoe out with a Rainmaker.

In the closing moments, Cassidy went for the Orange Punch, but Okada countered it into the Rainmaker for the win.
