Kenny Omega just wanted to reach people who felt the same way.
Kenny Omega, along with the rest of The Elite, helped found All Elite Wrestling and build it into what it is today. The former AEW World Champion competed at AEW's record-breaking All In event at Wembley Stadium in 2023, which sold over 70,000 tickets. There, he, Hangman Page, and Kota Ibushi lost to Bullet Club Gold (Jay White and Juice Robinson) and Konosuke Takeshita.
The "AEW: All In London 2023" mini-doc offers a behind-the-scenes look at how AEW All In became a reality. In one highlight, Kenny Omega commented on AEW's place in wrestling.
"I know I’m an oddball. I was on the outside looking in all the time. Even when it was with the kind of the TV that I would watch, the kind of games that I would play, the kind of sports that I enjoyed. If there were people like me that liked wrestling in a different way, like the way that we enjoy wrestling, the way that we enjoy watching wrestling, then maybe there should be a place for it," Omega said.
Omega also commented on AEW filling Wembley Stadium. He noted that he did not think the day would come, but he would have been happy if only 40 or 50 people came, as then he would not feel alone.
"Did I ever think that there would be 80,000 people on one day, in one moment in time, that would pay for a ticket to watch that type of wrestling? No. But I would have been happy if there were 40, 50, 100 people because then I just wouldn’t feel alone," Omega said.

AEW will return to Wembley Stadium for the second All In on August 25. Fightful will have coverage of the show as it airs.
Omega has been sidelined due to diverticulitis since December, and he is recovering from surgery. As of this writing, there is no word on when he will return to the ring.
