Kenny Omega praises Kevin Owens.
Kevin Owens and Kenny Omega have traveled many of the same roads en route to becoming the global superstars they are today. While they have not wrestled since acquiring their global Superstar status as they are both staples of separate promotions, WWE and AEW respectively, Kenny Omega and Kevin Owens have shared the ring several times.
Kenny and Kevin faced each other during the PWG Battle of Los Angeles in 2009 and they also faced each other once again at ROH From The Ashes in 2010.
Reflecting on wrestling Kevin on his Twitter account, Kenny Omega would say that while they never got a chance to truly have a program together and have more than a brief match on short notice, Omega knows that Kevin Owens has been "the real deal" for many years.
Even though we only did it a few times and on very short notice, it was always a joy. He’s been the real deal for a looong time. https://t.co/RXH8nctMel

Both Kevin and Kenny have been stablemates of The Young Bucks. Kenny Omega is, of course, a member of The Elite with Matt and Nick Jackson. Kevin Owens, on the other hand, has been a member of Mount Rushmore alongside The Young Bucks. Other members of Mount Rushmore, a PWG stable, include Adam Cole and later Roderick Strong.
Kevin Owens will next team with John Cena against his old frienemy, Sami Zayn and Roman Reigns on Friday, December 30's WWE SmackDown. Learn more about that match at this link.
