Kevin Nash: Will Ospreay's Promo About Triple H Shows Why He's An 'Indie-Rific Guy'

Kevin Nash responds to Will Ospreay.

Ahead of WWE WrestleMania XL, Triple H said that if wrestlers elsewhere weren't in it for "the grind", he didn't want them in WWE anyway. Will Ospreay seemingly thought that Triple H was talking about him, and he responded on the April 10 episode of AEW Dynamite. In addition to countering the line about "the grind," Ospreay took a shot at Triple H by noting that he got to where he was by grinding the boss's daughter.

Speaking on his Kliq This podcast, Kevin Nash commented on Ospreay's promo and his shot at Triple H.

“I hope he’s got a 20-year fucking deal with AEW. I hope he can fucking kick a soccer ball. Cody [Rhodes] fucking beat [Triple H's] fucking crown with a sledgehammer," Nash said.

Co-host Sean Oliver asked Nash whether Ospreay's line about the boss's daughter made it different than the standard shots often seen in the spirit of competition.

“I think that if I’m Ospreay, there used to be old Puerto Rican, down in Puerto Rico, and the fucking phone would ring, and they’d pick up the phone. They’d say, ‘Hey, it’s Nash. What do you want me to tell him? Want me to tell him to fuck you?’ ‘No, no. Tell him to come on down. Then we’ll fuck him.’ So that’s where they’re at right now.’ If you’ve got the balls to fucking take a shot at the fucking boss’s wife, and then you got the balls to fucking show up and ask for a fucking job, you better fucking be able to have the balls to take whatever he’s gonna dish," Nash said.

Oliver then asked Nash whether he thought that Triple H could look past that and hire Ospreay. Nash noted that he did not know. He stated that Triple H did not name Ospreay specifically, so there was no reason for him to get offended.

“I don’t know. It ain’t like somebody’s throwing a 100-mile-an-hour fucking fastball. It’s a work. Everything’s a work. I’m sure you can find something…is there a place for him in this fucking business for Will? Absolutely. I watched his match that everybody said was 11-stars, and I watched it as Kevin Nash, and then I watched it again as somebody that was just watching it. I didn’t watch it with a set opinion. I listened to the people, and Wes was very instrumental in me giving that a chance because he said he took his father, and he said of all the matches, his dad was just like, ‘Wow.’ So I think a lot of that translates in person. I just think that Paul [Levesque] didn’t mention him by name. Therefore, there’s no reason to get ass-hurt. It shows why he’s an indie-riffic guy. It shows why he didn’t make the move. He’s just not…he’s not smart to the business. Jade [Cargill] was," Nash said.

Will Ospreay recently said that opinions are like arseholes, as everyone has one.
