Kevin Owens is advancing in the WWE United States Championship top contender tournament.
Kevin Owens, despite his broken hand, defeated Austin Theory on December 15 to advance to the semifinals of the tournament to determine who will challenge Logan Paul for the WWE United States Championship.
Owens defeated Theory following a shot with the cast on his arm, a payback of sorts for Grayson Waller, Austin Theory's tag team partner being the one to break the hand of KO.

As a result, Kevin Owens will now wrestle Carmelo Hayes in the semifinals of the tournament. Hayes made his SmackDown debut in a victory over Grayson Waller earlier on December 15. On the other side of the bracket, Bobby Lashley will do battle with Santos Escobar.
It is not yet known when the winner of the tournament will face Logan Paul.
