Kip Sabian And Penelope Ford: Sammy Guevara And Tay Melo Are Copying Us, There's Room For A Feud

Kip Sabian and Penlope Ford say Sammy Guevara and Tay Melo are carbon copies of their previous characters, and they discuss a potential feud.

Sabian and Ford are a cpuple in real life, and they have been paired up in AEW since 2020. They memorably got married on AEW Dynamite in February 2021, but they're not the only couple in AEW. For the past year, Sammy Guevara and Tay Melo, a real-life couple, have also been featured together in AEW, and they accompany each other to the ring for some of their matches.

During a virtual signing with Captain's Corner, Sabian and Ford were asked about a potential feud with Guevara and Melo. Sabian responded by noting that they were up for oy. He claimed that Guevara and Melo are doing the characters he and Penelope were doing before he got hurt. Sabian also stated that it depends on whether Guevara and Melo want the smoke.

Kip Sabian: Of course. Why wouldn’t we? Let’s get down to brass tacks here, let’s be brutally honest. They are basically doing the characters that we did prior to my injury. Let’s be serious.

Penelope Ford: They’re the carbon copy.

KS: It is. So of course there’s room for it. But it depends whether they want the heat, whether they want the smoke. I mean technically, Sammy’s never beaten me. But I beat him. First-ever match, no one’s taking that from me. I’m gonna die on that hill [laughs].

Sabian recently competed at AEW Battle of the Belts V, where he unsuccessfully challenged Orange Cassidy for the AEW All-Atlantic Championship.

Julia Hart recently stated that she'd like to form a stable with Ford and The Bunny. Check out her comments here.
