Kofi Kingston set to make his first WWE Title defense.
In the opening segment of tonight's SmackDown, Kofi Kingston addressed the actions of Kevin Owens. Last week, Owens turned on Kingston and Xavier Woods after the duo graciously made him an honorary member of New Day following the injury to Big E. Owens made his intentions clear last week, telling Kofi that he was coming for his WWE Title.
Upset over Owens turning his back on New Day, Kingston challenged Owens to a match at WWE Money in the Bank. It didn't take long for Owens to accept the challenge, making the WWE Title match official for May 19.

New Day tried to get a measure of revenge on Owens as Woods attacked KO from behind, but Owens managed to get the better of Woods, proving himself to a worthy challenger for Kingston's strap.
