LA Knight discusses the potential return of his 'Dummy' catchphrase.
Before coming to WWE in 2021, LA Knight spent time in both IMPACT Wrestling/TNA and the NWA under the ring name 'Eli Drake'. Drake had a similar persona to LA Knight, as he also used the famous 'Yeah' catchphrase that has become one of the most popular things in WWE.
On top of using 'Yeah', Drake would often use a 'Dummy' catchphrase as well, something that Knight has not used in WWE yet.
In a new interview with Chris Van Vliet, Knight was asked when he was going to bring back the 'Dummy' phrase.
“I’ve considered it, I don’t know. Some people [want it], probably 90% of people don’t even know. If it came out organically maybe, but I never want to crowbar anything. It’s all got to be an organic thing. That’s one of the other things, is that I’ve never really forced any lines. At this point, I’ve got programmed stuff that’s in there, here and there, wherever, but in its origination, it was all kind of stuff that just happened. Could that come back, yeah maybe, or maybe just sprinkled in here and there.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Knight said that he was pretty sure he was unofficially fired before taking on the Max Dupri persona in WWE. Fans can learn more by clicking here.
