Lio Rush has changed Lashley.
On Raw, Lashley took on Kevin Owens in a one-on-one contest to settle the score between the two. Owens was looking for revenge for what Lashley did to Sami Zayn. Instead, he only angered the former ECW champion further.
With Lio Rush encouraging him from ringside, Lashley dominated Owens en route to the victory.
But it was the post-match angle that showed Rush's influence over his new client. Not content with just the victory, Lashley went after the knee of Owens in a post-match assault.
WWE is reportedly that, in storyline, Owens suffered injuries to both knees.
The angle served as a double turn, with the crowd booing Lashley and having sympathy for Owens. The new direction for Lashley is a welcome change as he's been floundering on the main roster since his comeback following WrestleMania.
