Lio Rush says his favorite storyline in WWE was with Angel Garza.
Throughout late 2019 and early 2020, Lio Rush and Angel Garza were engaged in a heated rivalry on the NXT brand. Throughout this period of time, Rush and Garza faced off with one another in three seperate singles bouts on NXT TV. Many fans consider those matches to be some of the best matches of both Rush and Garza's careers.
On the latest episode of the Unscriptify Podcast, Rush noted that his storyline with Garza was his favorite storyline that he was involved with during his time in WWE.
“My favorite storyline for sure was me and Angel Garza, I highly enjoyed it. A lot of in depth character work, a lot of promos, good storyline. Everything was there. The matches, like you said. It was a fun time, me and Angel Garza tore it up.”
