Lio Rush advances to AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
On the June 21 episode of AEW Rampage, Lio Rush faced Action Andretti in a qualifying bout for the TNT Championship Ladder Match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. The two stars went back and forth and showcased their athleticism throughout the bout. They were evenly matched early on. Rush took control and grounded Andretti. Andretti rallied and got a two-count with a Falcon Arrow.

Andretti caught Rush with an acrobatic Spanish Fly. Rush fired up with a kick and dropped Andretti with a slingshot stunner. He then hit a frog splash for the win. Rush helped Andretti up and shook his hand after the bell. He also shook hands with Dante Martin and Darius Martin.
There seems to be some uncertainty still between Lio Rush, Top Flight and Action Andretti.

The TNT Championship was vacated after reigning champion Adam Copeland suffered a fractured tibia at AEW Double or Nothing. AEW then announced that a Ladder Match for the vacant title would be held at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
Dante Martin, Jack Perry, Konosuke Takeshita, and Mark Briscoe previously qualified for the TNT Championship Ladder Match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. More information is available here.
