Logan Paul believes he has what it takes to be the face of WWE but says his future depends on different factors, including whether or not the WWE Universe ever warms up to him.
Logan Paul has become one of the attraction performers in WWE during his short year-and-a-half stint as a WWE Superstar. Logan recently spoke with Stephen A. Smith for his podcast and opened up about being the last person signed to WWE by Vince McMahon, what McMahon said to him then, and his odds of becoming the absolute face of WWE.
"I'm not here to take part. I'm here to take over. it's my DNA. it's how I'm wired," he said. "I was the last Superstar signed by Vince McMahon. After my first match, he took me backstage, and he said, 'Your future is here,' and I understand the weight of those words coming from him. So, to be honest with you, if I wanted to be the face of WWE, if I wanted to give this industry my all, I know I could. It's just a decision I have to make. It's a switch I have to flip."
Asked if he will be making the decision soon, Logan says he's not sure because it's also up to part of the WWE Universe and how they respond to him. Logan says he's concerned about being viewed as an outsider forever.
"It's also up to the fans. Do they resonate with me? They might think I come in there and not like my arrogant, cocky, conceited nature, and might think I'm the outsider forever, even though I'm actively doing five PLEs a year. I've got some convincing to do, but I'm there in my head. If I want to be WWE Champion, I can do it," Logan said.
Logan will be going on first at WWE SummerSlam 2023 in a match against Ricochet. Afterward, he will be taking a jet to see his brother, Jake Paul, fight Nate Diaz.
Diaz recently revealed he had the option to fight Logan Paul but wasn't interested in working with WWE. Read more here.
