Josh Matthews has revealed the main event of Impact Wrestling versus Lucha Underground.
Today on Facebook Live, Josh Matthews announced the main event of the Lucha Underground and Impact Wrestling co-promoted show at Wrestlecon which will take place on April 6th in New Orleans. The event has been billed as the rosters competing against each other but the last match of the night will see the rosters teaming together. The main event will be a tag team match featuring a wrestler from each promotion on each team. Austin Aries will be teaming with Fenix and Alberto El Patron will be teaming with Pentagon Jr.
The announcement was also posted to Twitter.
El Patron has been seen on Lucha Underground but most recently has been involved in the Impact Wrestling World Championship picture with Aries. He and Aries will meet in a Championship match at the Impact Wrestling pay-per-view Redemption.
The event already features a tag team championship match, Eddie Edwards' return to Impact Wrestling, and a six-man tag team match.
