Kota Ibushi Comments On His Current Health And AEW Status

‘I’ve kissed people along the way on television and everybody is always like, “Oh, you kissed him!” It is the most awkward experience of your life! It’s not like this, “Oh, this is lovely” – no, it is awkward!

‘There’s a camera, there’s a producer, there’s your writer, then there’s makeup artists out there sometimes watching to make sure your hair’s in the right position as you’re kissing this person.

‘It’s like, “Oh no,can you turn your face a little bit” – and eventually you’re kissing the side of their face. There’s hot lights and you’re wearing, “I’m sorry, I smell”, tanner – it’s not sexy!’

- NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion and ROH Pure Champion join Catalyst Wrestling For January 15, 2022

Following the opening of the “Forbidden Crawlspace” in November of 2021 with Impact Wrestling X-Division Champion Trey Miguel, holders of two of the most prestigious titles in pro wrestling come to Catalyst Wrestling on January 15th at The Muse in Brooklyn, as NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion, Trevor Murdoch and Ring Of Honor Pure Wrestling Champion, Josh Woods will take part in our double main event.

In the first half of our double main event, the Catalyst Wrestling Championship will be on the line as the head of the Carter Group, Darius Carter will defend his title for the first time against current ROH Pure Champion, Woods.

Carter, who has insisted he is the greatest pure/technical wrestler in the sport, will be put to the test against Woods who defeated current ROH World Champion Jonathan Gresham to win the Pure Title earlier this year.

In the second portion of our double main event, a dream partner tag team match will pit four of the NWA and Catalyst Wrestling’s best as Colby Corino and his “fixer” Wrecking Ball Legursky battle Corino’s literal lifelong rival Homicide and the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion, Trevor Murdoch.

Corino, who lost the Catalyst Title to Carter in November in a controversial fashion, has turned his back on his Workhorsemen brothers, students and the Catalyst fans, as he has aligned with Legursky, former training partner Eric Martin, Lucky 13 and manager/annoying human, Bobby Orlando.
