No chance for the nueve thanks to Chris Jericho's ego and Mark Briscoe's determination at AEW WrestleDream.
Chris Jericho failed to wrestle away the Ring of Honor World Championship from Mark Briscoe in their first singles match for the title on October 12 in Tacoma, Washington. Chris Jericho tried to utilize the members of The Learning Tree, Big Bill and Bryan Keith, to his advantage. Still, they were neutralized by Orange Cassidy and Rocky Romero of The Conglomeration. Cassidy took out Bill, while Romero took out Keith later in the match.
Jericho nearly got the win with his Judas Effect elbow strike but he decided to be mentally manipulative and go for the Jay Driller, the finisher of Mark Briscoe's brother, the late, great Jay Briscoe. This only incensed Mark, who utilized the Jay Driller himself to win after hitting the Froggy Bow.
The absolute disrespect shown by Chris Jericho!
