Marty Scurll has been booked for a pro wrestling return in Puerto Rico.
For the first time since the Speaking Out movement in 2020 saw him ousted from professional wrestling following accusations of sexual assault from 2015, Marty has been announced to return to the ring for the CWA promotion in Puerto Rico via their social media.
Before the Speaking Out movement, Marty was working closely with Ring of Honor. He had re-signed with the promotion at the beginning of 2020 and was named the head booker. Ring of Honor made the decision in January of this year to part ways with Marty following an investigation of the claims against him. but it was said that the move was mutual.
Marty has posted two separate statements regarding the accusations against him in the past.
Once a member of Bullet Club, Marty was once pitched to be the leader of Dark Order in AEW. He has since been removed from the opening of BTE and has not appeared on nor been alluded to on their shows in some time.
Marty was previously planned to join NJPW STRONG but those plans were next shortly after reports of them being in motion surfaced. Learn more here.
