A jam-packed two hour show for sure.
Tonight's SmackDown Live will be emanating from the 'Citizens Business Bank Arena' in Ontario, CA where there are three advertised matches on the night including a WWE United States Title defense. Also, there are two segments that have been announced--one of which having to do with the cast of the Netflix series 'GLOW' appearing on tonight's show.
* WWE United States Championship - Jeff Hardy (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura
This bout was made official this past Sunday as current SmackDown Live GM Paige made it official for this week's show after Jeff Hardy stated during a backstage segment on SmackDown and in promos taped at live events that he can clearly see Shinsuke Nakamura now and Nakamura's actions in their match on the 'Money In The Bank' go-home show has brought Jeff to his current state of mind.
* MizTV - Guests: SmackDown Live Tag Team Champions The Bludgeon Brothers
Last week on the blue-brand exclusive show Daniel Bryan was appearing to be on his way to going the distance in a gauntlet match to become the new #1 contender to AJ Styles' WWE Championship. As Bryan was awaiting the next opponent to come to the ring, he was attacked from behind by Harper & Rowan who Bryan has his history with. The two lurkers of the SmackDown Live Tag Team division put Bryan down and following up on the weakened Bryan was his rival The Miz who ended up eliminating Bryan from the gauntlet. Tonight on MizTV the "A-Lister" will be interviewing the men who either intentionally or unintentionally helped him advance to the finals of the gauntlet.
* Becky Lynch vs. Peyton Royce (W/ Billie Kay)
The first-ever SmackDown Live Women's Champion Becky Lynch will be looking to go two-for-two on the 'IIconics'. Last week Becky bested Billie Kay in singles action and will be looking to do the same to Peyton Royce tonight.
* Xavier Woods vs. Rusev
In three weeks at 'Extreme Rules' Rusev will be challenging AJ Styles for the WWE Championship. Ahead of Rusev's first World Title bout in his four years on WWE's main roster, "The Bulgarian Brute" will be taking on one-third of The New Day Xavier Woods in a match that was created stemming from the two men exchanging words via Twitter.
* Cast Of 'GLOW' Coming To Address Naomi
A few cast members from the Netflix series 'GLOW' will be making an appearance on tonight's episode of SmackDown Live to address Naomi who in her own right makes people feel the glow. Britt Baron who plays 'Justine' on 'GLOW' and Sydelle Noel who plays 'Cherry Bang' had a message for Naomi ahead of their meeting.
