Matt Cardona Shows Up At GCW C.O.S, Says He May Be Out Of Action For Up To 5 Months With Torn Bicep

Matt Cardona gives a timetable for his recovery following his torn bicep injury.

Unfortunately, Matt Cardona suffered a torn bicep while competing against Blake Christian at GCW Downward Spiral. Tonight, at the C.O.S event in Atlantic City, New Jersey, Cardona officially announced that he could be out of action anywhere from 3 to 5 months. This did not keep him from interacting with Christian, whom he was supposed to face in a number one contenders match.

Initially, Cardona offered to lay down for Christian but tried to swerve him and get interference from Chelsea Green to give him a victory, but Christian was able to overcome this deception and win the match with a superkick.

Cardona, The former NWA World Heavyweight Championship will be in attendance at the upcoming NWA Alwayz Ready event where he was originally scheduled to defend the title against Nick Aldis. No word has been stated regarding the future of the NWA World Championship.
