Matt Hardy, Private Party, James Storm All Show Up On 1/19 IMPACT Wrestling

Familiar faces and new challengers have arisen in the IMPACT Wrestling Tag Team Championship picture.

On the IMPACT Wrestling episode following Hard To Kill 2021, Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson were in the ring bragging about their victory alongside Kenny Omega at the pay-per-view when Chris Sabin interrupted them saying that he wanted his tag team championship back because neither he nor Alex Shelley were pinned to lose the gold.

When Gallows and Anderson tried to say that Alex Shelley wasn't medically cleared, Chris Sabin brought out James Storm and the TNA Originals appeared ready to challenge Gallows and Anderson for the IMPACT Tag Team Championship.

Suddenly, Matt Hardy returned to the promotion which housed the birth of his “Broken” character and he brought with him Private Party, the AEW tag team he manages.

Matt Hardy briefly hyped his match on AEW Dynamite before saying that he wanted Isiah and Marq to have a warm-up match against Gallows and Anderson for the IMPACT Tag Team Championship on the grounds that he and Jeff Hardy never lost those titles.

Eventually, it was decided that James Storm will team with Chris Sabin to face Private Party and the winners will face Gallows and Anderson for the Tag Team Championship at a later date.

Commenting on his appearance after he and Private Party were also on AEW Dark tonight, Matt Hardy said he was doing some “Rick Rude” shit, referencing the night that Rick Rude appeared on both WWE Raw and WCW Nitro.
