Matt Taven isn't going anywhere.
At Saturday's Ring of Honor event Death Before Dishonor Fallout in Las Vegas, Matt Taven announced that he would be staying with ROH. Taven's contract reportedly expired at the end of September and despite reported interest from WWE/NXT and All Elite Wrestling, Taven opted to remain with ROH. Fightful Select reports that ROH and Taven reached a deal on Thursday, Sept. 26, and Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer noted that the deal starts out at double the highest NXT contract, and could end up at triple by the end of the deal.
Taven, flanked by Kingdom stablemates Vinny Marseglia & TK O'Ryan told the live crowd, "I want to tell each and every one of you that I am going nowhere. I am here to stay. The story of Matt Taven is far from done. I have a lot more to prove to everyone here. I have a championship to get back -- and this Kingdom will rise again."
