Chris Jericho gets swerved.
On the June 26th episode of AEW Dynamite, Minoru Suzuki rejected Chris Jericho's offer to be their partner at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. Instead, he challenged Jericho to a match for the FTW Championship.
Jericho thought Suzuki sent in a video announcing he would team with him and Big Bill to take on Samoa Joe, HOOK, & Katsuyori Shibata. Instead, Suzuki said he wanted nothing to do with The Learning Tree, and issued the challenge.
No match has been made official. AEW's social media noted that the trios match was still on, but Bryan Keith is injured.
The #ForbiddenDoor may have been busted open, but maybe not in the way that Chris Jericho expected!

In his promo, Jericho noted that he is just here for the young guys, seemingly a reference to words by Cody Rhodes.
