The Miz Wants The WWE Championship Now That He's On Smackdown

The Miz wants to be WWE Champion again.

In an interview with Gorilla Position, the Miz said he had been drafted to a new brand at every opportunity and that change came with other changes.

Jey Uso: Being Back With Sami Zayn Feels Like Old Times

"I am one of the superstars that has been fortunate or unfortunate of the fact I have been drafted each and every time. I have been part of the Superstar Shakeup every time. People probably don't realize that it changes your career; it changes your life," said the Miz.

Each time the Miz has been moved to another brand, he had to find a new "footing." The last time he was drafted, he had recently lost the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 34 and the Miz said that now he's on Smackdown he has a new goal.

"Being on Smackdown Live (and) not being in the Intercontinental title picture anymore, it made me realize 'what do I have here on Smackdown Live?' and that's the title I only had once and I've always felt like a one hit wonder. It was always the title I wanted again. It's a title I feel that should be in the main event that isn't in the main event," said the Miz.

In 2010, the Miz beat Randy Orton for the WWE Championship with the help of a Money in the Bank contract and held onto the title until Extreme Rule 2011. His reign included a WrestleMania 27 victory over John Cena.
